Description :

LoRa® Lite gateway (LGW) is a demonstration and evaluation platform consisting of of a Raspberry-Pi B+, an pre-certified iC880A LoRa Concentrator, aluminium housing and a sandwich board for routing the signals between the Raspberry and the iC880A
This device enables LoRa® customers to demonstrate and evaluate LoRaWAN® features, and can be easily connect to existing servers (e.g. iot.semtech.com , Loriot, The Things Network...). The source code of firmware is provided by the open source github project lora-net (https://github.com/Lora-net/lora_gateway)
The concentrator board iC880A is able to receive packets of different end devices send with different spreading factors on up to 8 channels in parallel. Due to the fact that the combination of spreading factors and signal bandwidths results in different data rates the use of “Dynamic Data-Rate Adaption” becomes possible. That means that LoRa™ nodes with high distances from the concentrator must use higher spreading factors and therefore have a lower data rate. LoRa™ nodes which are closer to the concentrator can use lower spreading factors and therefore can increase their data rate.
The Lite Gateway is the central hardware solution for all LoRa based radio communication. It receives and transmits radio messages. Processing of the radio messages as well as the protocol related tasks is done by the embedded host system (Raspberry Pi).
This evaluation board/kit is intended for use for ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT, DEMONSTRATION OR EVALUATION PURPOSES ONLY and is not considered by IMST GmbH to be finished end - product fit for general consumer use.
