Description :

NKE S0 Pulse Sensor is a LoRaTM sensor designed to be operated with any device that delivers a pulse output for water, gas, electricity or energy meters. It communicates over LoRaTM secured, long range with bidirectional radio network. It includes an integrated antenna. Its Lithium battery 3.6V, 3.6Ah enables 12 years autonomy for one radio transmission per day 3 Pulse Inputs.

Pulse sensors by NKE have three main advantages. First they benefit from a Long Range Radio,Technology LoRaWAN up to 4km in free field. Then, they take advantage of a standardised protocol IPv6 6LoWPAN. Last, they significantly optimize energy consumption for battery-operated sensors, or even energy self-sufficiency for energy harvesting sensors.

The WATTECO series benefits from a know-how in the development of communication systems based on the 6LoWPAN standard, the adaptation of IP layers to constrained networks in buildings where radio bandwidths are limited and where optimising the consumption of equipment is imperative. WATTECO distinguishes its product offering by providing a range of all-IP wireless sensors - based on the 6LoWPAN (IPv6) technology standardised by the IETF - and Box (sensors optionally non battery-operated). The deployment of IP networks for low-power automation applications allows "Internet" uses to be generalised to sensor networks.

IP TECHNOLOGY IP technology is an significant alternative to fieldbuses usually operated in Construction & Energy efficiency sectors. The layer model as per the OSI standard ensures network constraints are isolated from user applications. Operating over IP in sensor networks provides many options in terms of configurations or application functionalities. All NKE sensors implement a powerful ZigBee-like application layer which allows for configurable change of value (CoV) reporting of all attributes, based on value change threshold and minimum and maximum reporting intervals. The binary format of the NKE ZCL-like application layer implements many of the clusters of the ZigBee Cluster Library. In addition all NKE sensors support “batch reporting”: a powerful data-series compression feature in the sensor which decreases the amount of data transferred and related energy consumption by typically over 95%. NKE sensors also implement listen-before-talk feature which is useful when doing dense sensor deployments.

Hi - Please advise if AS923 channel plan is supported for NKE S0 PULSE SENSOR or when it will be supported.

Answer : Hello Sourmack, Here are the main differences between US915 and AS923 channels : AS923 : - 915 to 928MHz, regarding the regulartory rules of the country, - Default mandatory channels : UL 903.2, 903.4 (125kHz bandwith), - RX2 923.2 MHz / DR2 (SF10/125KHz). US915 : - 902 to 928MHz, - 72 channels : - Upstream – 64 channels numbered 0 to 63 utilizing LoRa 125 kHz BW varying from DR0 to DR3, using coding rate 4/5, starting at 902.3 MHz and incrementing linearly by 200 kHz to 914.9 MHz, - Upstream – 8 channels numbered 64 to 71 utilizing LoRa 500 kHz BW at DR4 starting at 903.0 MHz and incrementing linearly by 1.6 MHz to 914.2 MHz, - Downstream – 8 channels numbered 0 to 7 utilizing LoRa 500 kHz BW at DR8 to DR13) starting at 923.3 MHz and incrementing linearly by 600 kHz to 927.5 MHz, - RX2 923.3MHz / DR8 (SF12/500kHz). US915 devices from NKE have all the 72 US channels configured by default. The device emit messages on one of the channels set. If the AS923 have one or several matching channels (for uplink and downlink), the network should send new channels requests to the device, and it should work for AS923 frequencies. But, if AS923 and US915 have no frequencies in common, the frequencies of the device cannot be reconfigured. Hope this answer to your question Regards
