Description :

The Class A LoRaWAN Pulse Sens’O from nke Watteco is a long range, low power consumption, high performance and high quality wireless up or down pulse sensor transmitting data from water, gas, electricity & energy meters.

The Pulse Sens’O operates with any commercial meter products and provides connection to any wireless network using the LoRaWAN protocol. Three meters can be supported by a single LoRaWAN Pulse Sens’O allowing a significant reduction of installation and deployment costs. The measured parameters can be locally stored, concatenated and compressed. This unique batch mechanism significantly reduce the amount of data transmission for demanding applications and drastically increase the autonomy. Powered through a 3Lithium battery, it allows an autonomy up to 12 years when transmitting data one time per day.

The Pulse Sens'O contains a Human Machine Interface, which includes three leds on the device:

  • ASS: green flashing light until the association to a network is done.
  • FNC: orange flashing light each minute while an input is activated.
  • CNF: red flashing light while in configuration mode.

The Pulse Sens'O device is a sleepy Class A device. It executes 'Binary Input' clusters, linked to their Inputs.

All NKE sensors apply a powerful ZigBee-like application layer which permits for configurable change of value (CoV) reporting of all attributes, depended on value change threshold and minimum and maximum reporting intervals. The binary format of the NKE ZCL-like application layer implements many of the clusters of the ZigBee Cluster Library. In addition all NKE sensors support “batch reporting”: a powerful data-series compression feature in the sensor which decreases the amount of data transferred and related energy consumption by typically over 95%. NKE sensors also implement listen-before-talk feature which is useful when doing dense sensor deployments.
